The region came under Egyptian control, Babylonian rule, and other kingdom rulership. Ancient Israel is the place the entire Jewish nation originated from. Further, the name Israel also refers to the person or the forefather the nation originates from.

Today, Israel is the country called the State of Israel in Western Asia. Its capital is Jerusalem (also a former biblical city). Jerusalem has major metropolitan areas and development.

Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt is one of the most fascinating and mysterious places in history. It’s a land with a rich culture, and tons of mysteries still unsolved. Ancient Egypt has been an inspiration for many artists and writers.

The Ancient Egyptians built some of the most beautiful and incredible structures. Even though, we still do not know all the secrets of Ancient Egypt. They left a rich culture with many stories about their gods, pharaohs, and everyday life.

Most inscriptions on tombs and monuments were written in hieroglyphic or hieratic script. But we can read them thanks to translations provided by ancient Greek historians.

Biblical Jericho

The city of Jericho is a Palestinian area in the West Bank, north of the Dead Sea. It was one of the largest cities in Palestine during biblical times. Jericho was also one of the oldest cities in the world.

In Hebrew, Jericho means the “city of palm trees”. Hunters-gatherers settled along the river terrace of Jericho within the Jordan Valley. Near an oasis in what was then a lush green environment and subtropical climate.

Anthropologists and archaeologists have found ancient elements of Jericho. It has well-preserved city walls.

Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome was a civilization that grew from a small rural settlement in the 8th century BC. To a massive empire stretching from Britain to Egypt. Encompassing an area of 5 million square kilometers (1.9 million sq mi) and ruling over 60 million people.

The Roman Empire emerged as a major power in the ancient Mediterranean world. This was due to their military conquests. At its height, it was the largest empire in the history of Western civilization.

Additionally, Ancient Rome left behind an unparalleled cultural legacy. Remnants of ancient Rome remains are still visible today around Europe and North Africa.

Babylon

Babylon is one of the most ancient cities in the world. Located 60 miles south of Baghdad, it has an amazing history that reaches back over 4,000 years.

The Babylonians developed a numeric system based on 60. In this ancient Mesopotamia number system, digits looked like “Y” with a cover at the top and “A” on the side.

These number systems were much easier to use than counting everything by hand.

The Babylonian empire was a majestic government. Which made Babylon, a once prosperous city and world power, but today it is completely desolate.
